Suspect Sought in Fifth District Armed Robbery

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the perpetrator of an armed robbery on January 11, 2021 in the 2600 block of St. Claude Avenue.

At around 6:39 a.m., the pictured subject entered a McDonald’s restaurant and ordered the employees at gunpoint to go to the back of the office. Once inside the office, the perpetrator made the employees face the wall while the manager opened the safe. After receiving the money from the safe, the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as an unknown black male, standing approximately 5’9”-5’11” with a slim build, brown skin and mustache. The suspect was wearing all black with a black hooded sweatshirt and grey knit cap.
