Dirt Bike Reported Stolen in First District Armed Carjacking

Dirt Bike Reported Stolen in First District Armed Carjacking

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a dirt bike reported stolen in an armed carjacking incident that occurred at the intersection of Canal Street and North Claiborne Avenue on January 27, 2019, as well as the perpetrator responsible.

At about 6:30 p.m., the pictured 2019 blue, white and silver Yamaha Yz450 motorized dirt bike was reported stolen from the location during an armed carjacking.

The victim described the suspect as a black male teenager approximately 16 years of age, standing about 5’8”, clean shaven and wearing blue jeans and a black hooded jacket with the hood tightly drawn around his face. The subject was also reportedly armed with a handgun at the time of the incident and was last seen fleeing on the dirt bike east bound on North Claiborne Avenue.
