The NOPD is investigating a homicide in the 4600 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard.
At around 10:23 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a complaint in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male victim suffering from gunshot wounds outside the area. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
