The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals today (February 2, 2022) arrested Brian Plummer (black male, DOB: 08-08-1993) in the investigation of a homicide on October 5, 2022, in the 3500 block of Thalia Street.
At about 4:40 p.m. on October 5, NOPD Sixth District officers responded to a call of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located two gunshot wound victims – a male and a female. Both victims were transported via EMS to a local hospital. The male victim was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
As investigation into the incident progressed, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives developed and positively identified Plummer as one of two suspected perpetrators in this incident. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Plummer on one count each of second-degree murder and of attempted second-degree murder.
Plummer was located and arrested today and subsequently booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center accordingly.
The second suspect (pictured below, unknown black male) is still at large.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
