The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a subject wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery in the Eighth District.
On February 10, 2023, just after 3:00 a.m., an attempted robbery occurred in the 1300 block of Bourbon Street. The two victims say the suspect approached them with a gun and demanded their property.
One of the victims struck the perpetrator and began struggling with him over control of the firearm. A witness jumped in and managed to take the firearm from the perpetrator, who then fled.
Through investigation, the perpetrator was identified as an unknown black male, (pictured, approximately 20-25 years of age).
