The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (February 4, 2023) in the 5200 block of Tchoupitoulas Street that left one male victim dead and an unknown female victim injured.
Just after 3:24 a.m., NOPD Second District officers responded to a reported shooting in the area. Upon their arrival, officers found a male and female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS transported the male and female victim to a local hospital. The male victim later expired at the hospital.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of the autopsy and notification of family.
