Persons of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating three subjects for questioning as persons of interest in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on July 26, 2021 at the intersection of Bayou Road and North Broad Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed (pictured, from left) Shyhem Marks (black male, DOB; 08-19-1995), Johnathan Butler (black male, DOB: 01-12-1995) and Darius Thomas (black male, DOB: 01-19-1997) as persons of interest in this case. These subjects are not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel they may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview them.
