NOPD Seeking Suspect, Vehicles in Third District Unarmed Carjacking

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two suspects in the investigation of an unarmed carjacking that occurred on February 13, 2022 in the 4600 block of Eastern Street.

At about 5:55 pm, the victim parked in front of a residence and exited the vehicle to retrieve an item. While walking back to her vehicle, the victim was reportedly approached by a heavy-set black female wearing a blue or purple in color hooded jacket. The subject allegedly demanded the victim’s keys and threatened to kill her. The victim complied, and the two pictured suspects fled the scene in the victim’s white 2013 Subaru Outback (LA plate XNR577). As they were fleeing, the subjects struck two parked vehicles, causing heavy damage to the hood, right bumper and right rear bumper of the stolen Subaru.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
