NOPD Searches for Subject in Several Eighth District Business Burglaries

NOPD Searches for Subject in Several Eighth District Business Burglaries

The NOPD is searching for a subject wanted in connection with several simple burglaries victimizing the same business in the Eighth District.

 

John Adams (W/M DOB: 6/12/1979) is wanted on four counts of simple burglary at the same location in the 900 block of Burgundy Street.

 

The incidents are as follows:

  • Item# L-35727-18, December 28, 2018 at 6:51 a.m., 900 block of Burgundy Street. Adams allegedly entered room #154 while a guest was sleeping. The guest heard a loud crash, and relocated to the front room where they observed an unknown subject, later identified as Adams. Adams was startled and fled the room with the victim’s book bag.
  • Item# A-02720-19, January 2, 2019 at 7:01 p.m., 900 block of Burgundy Street. Adams again allegedly entered the same room #154. No guests were present at the time. Adams allegedly removed a book bag, wallet, cash, and identification. Adams was captured on video with the book bag as he fled the location.
  • Item# A-35031-19, January 26, 2019 at 8:41 p.m., 900 block of Burgundy Street. Adams allegedly loitered in the courtyard area near the maintenance room. Adams then pushed the maintenance room open and entered. Several minutes later Adams fled the location with a backpack, various tools, a Dewalt tool bag, and three room cards.
  • Item# A-37500-19, January 29, 2019 at 4:36 a.m., 900 block of Burgundy Street. Adams was captured on video in the courtyard area as he made his way to room #144. Adams was then observed with a large television wrapped in a bedsheet as he left the area.

Adams was arrested in 2014 in the Eight District for several burglaries including one which occurred at the same location in the 900 block Burgundy Street, and an auto theft.

Det. Marshall Scallan recognized Adams from one of the past burglaries. Adams was also recognized by management of the location from past burglaries involving Adams.

 

Adams is currently on parole until 2022 for bank fraud, and simple burglary.
