NOPD Seeking Information in Homicide on Bienville Street

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in gathering information regarding the homicide of Muhiydin Moye (DOB 04-22-1985), which occurred on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at about 1:24 a.m., in the 1900 block of Bienville Street.

First district officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Bienville Street to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult male, later identified as Muhiydin Moye lying on the ground. The victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right thigh. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

NOPD Homicide detectives gathered additional information and believe Moye may have been the victim of an attempted armed robbery. Detectives are seeking to speak with anyone who might have information about this incident.
