NOPD needs the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle of interest.
At approximately 6:44 p.m. on January 26, 2017, an aggravated assault was committed in the 1700 block of Bartholomew. The victim stated that two unknown black males shot at the victim while they attempted to steal his vehicle. Further investigation of the incident led detectives to determine that the perpetrators may have fled the scene in a blue Trans Am with a broken side headlight and a loud exhaust system. A photo of a similar make and model is included.
The suspects are described as young black males, 16-20 years old.
