The NOPD is investigating a homicide in the 8700 block of Hickory Street.
Tonight (Feb. 11) at approximated 7:27 p.m., Second District officers responded to a call of shots fired at Hickory and Monroe streets. Upon arrival they discovered a 29-year-old black male lying face down in the 8700 block of Hickory. EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he later expired.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
