NOPD Arrests Suspect on Four Counts of Aggravated Assault on Ramsey Drive

NOPD Fourth District officers arrested John Games Jr. (DOB: 9-13-1960) on Thursday (Feb. 16) after an hour standoff with officers.

At around 12:47 p.m., Fourth District officers and HANO officers responded to a call in the 2700 block of Ramsey Dr., where a female inside of a home requested assistance.

Once officers arrived at the location, Games Jr. answered the door by pointing a firearm at four officers.  Officers then observed Games Jr. retreat back into the home while refusing to exit as officers ordered him out. After an hour-long standoff, one of the occupants in the home told police she was able to retrieve the firearm once Games placed it down. That family member then told police a fight started between her and Games Jr. as she fought to throw the gun outside of the house. Officers were eventually able to retrieve the gun and enter the residence.

Games was arrested without further incident and booked with four counts of aggravated assault.
