The NOPD is investigating a homicide today (December 8, 2025) at the intersection of Willowbrook Drive and Michoud Boulevard, in the Seventh District.

At about 7:33 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers were notified by a passerby of an unresponsive male subject at the location. Officers arrived and found the victim to have sustained an apparent gunshot wound(s). The victim was declared deceased on scene by New Orleans EMS.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as to determine motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victims and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
