New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with identifying and locating a vehicle wanted in connection with a fatal traffic accident that occurred around 5:51 p.m. on November 21, 2025.
According to investigators, the pictured silver-color 2007 to 2009 Mercury Sable was on Chef Menteur Highway going eastbound when it struck two pedestrians attempting to cross the highway near its intersection with Majestic Oaks Drive. One of the pedestrians died of his injuries and the other was injured.
The operator of the Mercury fled the scene without stopping and was last seen going eastbound on Chef Menteur Highway. The vehicle had damage to the front end and was showing fraudulent Louisiana temporary tag S2082913.
