A second individual was arrested today (December 9, 2024) in the NOPD’s ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on November 17, 2024, at the intersection of Almonaster and Florida avenues that left two victims dead.
On December 8, NOPD Homicide Section detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Ashley Gray (black female, DOB: 10-17-1984) on one count of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.
At about 12:20 p.m. today, members of the Louisiana State Police’s Bureau of Investigation and the NOPD's Violent Crime Abatement Investigation Team (VCAIT) located and arrested Gray at her residence in River Ridge, La. Gray is identified as the mother of Curtis J. Gray, who was arrested on December 6 on two counts of second-degree murder in this investigation.
Carter will be transported to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center and booked as a fugitive on the accessory charge, awaiting extradition to Orleans Parish to face prosecution.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
