The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this evening (December 22, 2022) in the Seventh District.
Around 7:00 p.m. Seventh District officers responded to a call reporting shots fired in the at Chef Menteur Highway and Dale Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered one adult male victim and one female suffering from gunshot wounds.
The 32-year old male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the female victim was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment for a non life-threatening injury.
No further information is available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine official cause of death and release the victims’ names upon completion of autopsy and notification of families.
