NOPD Seeking to Interview Person of Interest in Investigation of 2010 Homicide

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a person of interest for interview in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on December 28, 2010 in the 4800 block of Hayne Boulevard.

The adult female victim in this incident was found to have sustained a laceration to the neck and her body was found to be burned beyond recognition.

During the course of the investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives developed Joseph Firmin (pictured, black male, DOB: 08-22-1940) as a person of interest. Firmin is not currently wanted on criminal charges. However, detectives feel he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to question him.
