UPDATED: NOPD Arrests Suspect in Investigation of Eighth District Cutting Incident

UPDATE: On December 26, wanted suspect Julio “Rocky” Keenum turned himself in to the NOPD in connection with this investigation. He was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for one count of attempted second-degree murder.

ORIGINAL: The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Julio “Rocky” Keenum (pictured, white male, DOB: 04-16-1982, tattoos on chest, arms and left leg) in the ongoing investigation of an aggravated battery by cutting incident that occurred on December 24, 2021 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives determined that just before 7:00 p.m., the victim was in a verbal altercation when a male suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
