NOPD Seeking Suspects in Attempted Armed Carjacking in Fifth District

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying two suspects in the investigation of an attempted armed carjacking on November 24, 2020 in the 1500 block of Marigny Street.

At or about 12:50 a.m., the pictured subject allegedly attempted to carjack the victim at gunpoint. The perpetrator reportedly approached the victim’s vehicle, opened the back door and demanded the vehicle. The victim refused. A second subject then pulled up in the pictured grey or silver Honda Crosstour and brandished an assault rifle. The two subjects fled in the Honda. Detectives were able to obtain a photograph of first gunman. The gunman is described as a black male, approximately 18-25 years of age, with a light to medium complexion and short twists hair style, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
