NOPD Investigating Homicide on North Rocheblave Street

NOPD Investigating Homicide on North Rocheblave Street

The NOPD is investigating a double shooting that occurred yesterday, December 8, 2017, in the 2100 block of North Rocheblave Street and claimed the life of one of the victims and wounded another.

 

At about 11:17 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a call of a shooting at a residence in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female victim inside of the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male victim, sustained a gunshot wound to the body. He was transported by EMS to an area hospital for medical treatment.

 

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering additional evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as motive.

 

No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death for the deceased victim and release the deceased victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
