NOPD Seeing Additional Person of Interest in Investigation of Seventh District Homicide

The NOPD is seeking to question an additional person of interest in the ongoing investigation into the homicide of Toneya Young at the intersection of Lake Forest and Bullard Avenue on December 16, 2018.

At around 5:15 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers were advised by dispatch of a call from a concerned citizen advising that an unknown subject was down on Lake Forest Boulevard on the side of the road in a grassy area. The caller advised that the victim appeared to be in need of medical attention. The officers went to check on the subject and discovered the unidentified adult female face down and unresponsive. Upon further inspection, the officers observed the subject, later identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as Young, was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body. EMS rendered aid to the victim, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

During the investigation, Michael Clark Jr. (DOB: 04-22-1995) was developed as a person of interest in the investigation.

Clark is not wanted for the homicide, but is sought for questioning by detectives.

Montel Lee (DOB: 05-25-1996) is also sought as a person of interest for questioning in this incident.

Anyone with information on this incident or on the whereabouts of these persons of interest is asked to contact NOPD Homicide Detective Daniel Hiatt at 504-658-5300, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
