NOPD Searches for Subjects in Second District Shoplifting Incidents

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating two subjects who are wanted in connection with two Second District shoplifting incidents.

The first incident occurred on November 30, 2018, in the 6200 block of South Claiborne Avenue. The reporting person told police that he observed three black male subjects enter the location and proceed to the rear cooler area. The subjects reportedly grabbed 10 cases of beer from the cooler and exited the business without paying for the items.

The second incident occurred on December 8, 2018, in the 5600 block of Tchoupitoulas Street. The reporting person told police that an unknown black male subject wearing a black jacket, black jeans, with orange dreadlocks and tattoos covering his face, entered the business and proceeded to the rear of the store. The subject reportedly grabbed two packs of beer and exited the business without purchasing the items. The reporting person advised officers that the subject fled the scene in a black Ford Focus.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned that one of the perpetrators had distinctive orange colored dreadlocks in both incidents.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the pictured subjects is asked to notify Second District detectives at 504-658-6020. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
