Suspect Seen on Surveillance in Attempted Vehicle Theft on Napoleon Avenue

The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate an individual seen on surveillance video in connection with an attempted vehicle theft that occurred on December 24, 2017 in the 600 block of Napoleon Avenue.

At about 9:08 p.m., the pictured subject was observed on security camera attempting to move the victim’s motorcycle from his front yard in the 600 block of Napoleon Avenue, before leaving several seconds later. Later the same night, at approximately 9:52 p.m., the suspect returned and moved the victim’s motorcycle into the street. At or about 10:30 p.m., the victim arrived at the location as the suspect was attempting to lift the motorcycle into a pickup truck. The suspect then fled on foot, leaving the motorcycle and the pickup truck. The pickup truck was later discovered to be stolen.

The suspect in this incident is described as an unknown black male with a light complexion and a tall and thin build.
