NOPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide on North Villere Street

Members of the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad today (December 1, 2017) arrested Phillip Dominick (DOB: 12-04-1988) in connection with a homicide that occurred on October 30, 2017 in the 1600 block of North Villere Street.

At around 8:32 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim later identified as Brandon Wilkins, in the street suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead by EMS on scene.

As investigation into the incident proceeded, detectives were able to positively identify Dominick as the perpetrator.

Dominick was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for second degree murder.
