Suspect Sought for Cruelty to a Juvenile

NOPD needs the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for cruelty to a juvenile.

 

James Kelly (DOB: 1/12/1979) is suspected of whipping a four-year-old boy repeatedly with a belt, causing severe bruising and lacerations to the child’s lower body. The incident took place in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road on December 26, 2016, at approximately 5 p.m. Kelly is an acquaintance of the boy's family.
