Orginial Story

The NOPD is looking for Donell Johnson (DOB: 2-14-1962) in connection with a cutting.

The victim stated that at approximately 7 p.m. on December 15, 2016, he was walking near the intersection of Morrison Road and Dorothea Street when a dark-colored SUV approached from the rear.  A black male, later identified as Johnson, exited the rear passenger door of the SUV and approached him with a six-inch knife and began swinging it at him. The victim fell to the ground and Johnson stood over him and repeatedly swung the knife at him, attempting to stab him. Johnson slashed the victim, which resulted in two one-inch lacerations.

A black male passenger of the SUV then intervened and removed Johnson from the scene.
