The NOPD is investigating a homicide in the 17000 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
This morning (Dec. 22) at 7:32 a.m. a motorist called in a report of what appeared to be a body on the side of the road. NOPD Seventh District officers responded and discovered the body of an unidentified Asian male with an apparent gunshot wound lying on the side of the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and the official cause of death.
