Suspect Wanted For Hit & Run

New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with identifying and locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit & run traffic accident with injuries.

According to investigators, around 2:15 a.m. on August 16, 2026 the upper-pictured blue-color pickup truck was involved in a hit & run collision with a pedestrian near the intersection of Broadway and Freret Streets. The pedestrian was seriously injured. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene without stopping by traveling on Broadway Street to Saint Charles Avenue and then unknown.

The pickup truck is believed to be a 1994 to 1997 Dodge Ram and is similar to the lower pictured vehicle.  However, the actual vehicle reportedly has chrome side steps and a trailer hitch. The actual vehicle should also have damage to its front end.

Anyone with additional information that can assist in this investigation is urged to contact NOPD Hit & Run officers at 504-658-6210.
