NOPD Seeking Suspect in Aggravated Battery & False Imprisonment

NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted for aggravated battery and false imprisonment.

Wanted is Kerry Fernandez, (pictured black male, DOB: 03/21/1988). 

On August 30, 2026, the victim reported that Fernandez hit her multiple times with a metal object and prevented her from leaving the location in the 13,000 block of Chef Menteur Highway where the incident occurred.

The victim eventually sought medical treatment at a local hospital.

Through investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Fernandez on charges of second degree battery and false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
