New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for mail theft, issuing worthless checks, forgery, and monetary instrument abuse.
Wanted is Maya Alissa Franklin (pictured), Black female, DOB 04/01/2004, height 5' 4", and weight 118 pounds.
According to investigators, on June 30, 2025 Maya Alissa Franklin deposited into her bank account a check which had been stolen from the US mail and illegally altered.
Anyone with information regarding the crimes or the location of Maya Alissa Franklin is asked to call Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or to anonymously call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
