New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for auto burglary.
Wanted is Eric McCoy (pictured), Black male, DOB 12/10/1998, height 5' 4", and weight 120 pounds.
According to investigators, around 5:30 p.m. on July 22, 2025 the victim reported her vehicle had been burglarized while parked in the 1600 block of Steeple Chase Lane. Approximately an hour later, Eric McCoy was recorded on video camera in possession of the victim's property, which had been in the parked vehicle. Eric McCoy then fled on a red bicycle to the 5600 block of Tullis Drive, where he was able to escape on foot.
A warrant is on file for the arrest of Eric McCoy.
