The NOPD is seeking to locate a subject identified as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on August 14, 2025, in the 2100 block of Decatur Street.

At about 3:10 a.m. on August 14, NOPD Eighth District officers responded to a medical emergency reported at the intersection of Frenchmen and Decatur streets. Upon arrival, officers located an unknown male subject lying unresponsive. The victim was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared deceased on scene by New Orleans EMS.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives have developed the pictured unknown male subject as a person of interest in this incident. The subject is not currently wanted on criminal charges. However, detectives feel this subject may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
