Suspect Sought in NOPD First District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect captured on surveillance footage in the ongoing investigation of a shooting on July 25, 2022, in the 1900 block of Poydras Street.

Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives determined that the pictured unknown black male suspect arrived at the location in the pictured white Nissan Altima with black rims and no plate. Following an apparent altercation inside of a business at the location, the suspect reportedly left the business and waited for the male victim to depart. The suspect then drove past the victim and fired at least one shot at him as he walked in the street. The victim relocated to a local hospital via private conveyance for treatment of a gunshot wound.
