NOPD Identifies Person of Interest Sought for Questioning in First District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking to locate a subject identified as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation of a shooting on June 12, 2022, in the 3900 block of Tulane Avenue.

Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives have identified Ashton Malik Johnson (pictured, black male, DOB: 02-22-1999) as a person of interest. Johnson is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
