NOPD Has New Five Crime Scene Investigators

The New Orleans Police Department’s Crime Lab Division has just trained five new Crime Scene Investigators. This three-week classroom training is comprehensive of crime scene processing and evidence collection. The investigators will now start their three-month field training.

Sergeant Gabriel Osborne and Homicide Detective Joseph Jefferson also completed the training to afford them better insight while investigating violent crimes and Homicides.

Members of Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office, Tulane University Police, and University of New Orleans Police also attended portions of the training, specifically fingerprinting and DNA collection.
