NOPD Arrests Suspect on Firearms, Narcotics, Stolen Vehicle Charges in Fourth District

On August 9, 2022, the NOPD arrested Michel Millro (black male, DOB; 12-30-1972) on multiple charges after a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Newton Street.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. on August 9, NOPD Fourth District DCAT officers was conducting proactive patrol in the 1600 block of Newton Street. At that time, officers observed a black Jeep Cherokee bearing Alabama license plate 61AD614. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Jefferson Parish. The officers stopped the vehicle and identified Millro as the driver. Millro was detained while officers conducted a search of the vehicle.

During the vehicle search, officers located in the vehicle a handgun with an obliterated serial number; two magazines, one of which was extended; appx. 61 grams of crack cocaine; appx. 7.5 grams of Heroin; six Oxycodone tablets, 283 Ecstasy tablets and a digital scale.

Millro was subsequently arrested and booked in the Orleans Parish Justice Center. In relation to the firearm and illegal narcotics found, he was booked with illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number; two counts of possession of Schedule II CDS with intent to distribute (Oxycodone, crack cocaine); two counts of possession of a Schedule I CDS with intent to distribute (Heroine, Ecstasy) and with possession of a CDS in proximity of a school. In relation to the stolen vehicle, Millro was additionally booked with illegal possession of stolen things and for unauthorized use of a moveable.
