NOPD Identifies Wanted Suspect in Seventh District Shooting

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kyrease James (aka “Prynce”, pictured, male, DOB: 04-15-1997) in the investigation of a shooting that occurred in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway on August 7, 2020.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives positively identified James as the suspected perpetrator who shot the victim at the location at about 10:53 a.m.

James is wanted for aggravated second degree battery and illegal discharge of a firearm during a violent crime.

James is described as a black male standing about 5’6” and weighing about 135 pounds with a thin build.
