NOPD Arrests Suspect in Fourth District Armed Robbery

The NOPD has arrested Semone Williams (pictured, DOB: 04-19-1991) in the investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on August 25, 2020 in the 2000 block of Cypress Acres Drive.

At about 1:30 a.m., the victim reportedly relocated to the 2000 block of Cypress Acres Drive to meet Williams. Upon arrival, the victim walked with Williams inside the apartment complex. An unknown male subject wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun then allegedly approached the victim. And demanded the victim’s property. The victim placed his property on the ground, which was then reportedly picked up by Williams. Williams and the armed subject then allegedly relocated to the victim’s vehicle and fled, with Williams reportedly driving the vehicle.

Williams was later arrested while in possession of the victim’s vehicle. During the investigation, Williams was positively identified by the victim as a perpetrator in the robbery. Williams was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for armed robbery with a firearm
