UDPATE: Suspect Arrested in Seventh District Aggravated Battery by Cutting

UPDATE: Gordon “Silk” Johnson (DOB: 12-15-1964) was arrested without incident on August 2, 2019 in connection with this incident.

 

ORIGINAL RELEASE: The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Gordon “Silk” Johnson (DOB: 12-15-1964) in the investigation of an aggravated battery by cutting on August 1, 2019 at the intersection of Downman and Dwyer roads.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined that at approximately 7:26 p.m., Johnson allegedly approached the victim while the victim was seated in a vehicle and asked for money. When the victim refused and exited the vehicle, Johnson then allegedly stabbed the victim with a brown-handled knife and then fled on foot.

When located, Johnson will be arrested for aggravated battery by cutting.
