NOPD Arrests Suspect in Seventh District Cutting

The NOPD has arrested Daphne Hampton (DOB: 12-10-1984) in the investigation of an aggravated battery by cutting incident that occurred on August 19, 2019 in the 14000 block of Linden Street.

Through investigation, detectives determined that Hampton and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at about 3:33 p.m. During the altercation, Hampton allegedly began cutting the victim’s clothing with a folding knife. When the victim intervened, Hampton allegedly cut him on his arm. Hampton allegedly fled the location after police were called, but she was located and arrested a short distance away from the scene.

Hampton was booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
