NOPD Seeks Input from Public for Community Policing Plans

The NOPD is collecting input from citizens regarding updates to the department’s Community Policing Plans for each of its eight districts.

Community Policing Plans are district-specific collaborative partnerships with the community to address the unique needs of the community serviced in each of the city’s eight police districts. With the community feedback from this survey and continual engagement with community members, each police district will update its Community Policing Plan and align its operations with community concerns. Community Policing Plans are updated on an ongoing basis based on community input.

Attendees to their district’s monthly NONPACC meeting in September will also have an opportunity to take part in a problem-solving forum and will have access to the survey.

Click here to view existing Community Policing Plans for each district. From the menu, select “Community Policing.” Existing community policing plans are updated each month after each district’s scheduled NONPACC meetings.

The survey period will run through September 30, 2018.

For more information on the NOPD Community Policing Plans, contact the NOPD Compliance Bureau at 504-658-5080.
