NOPD Investigates Triple Shooting on I-10 West Exit Near Crowder Road

The NOPD is investigating a triple shooting incident at the I-10 West exit just before Crowder Boulevard.

At around 12:21 p.m., five occupants were traveling eastbound in a single vehicle on I-10 West near Crowder Boulevard when an unknown vehicle pulled next to the victims and opened fire. The vehicle then fled off the interstate onto the service road.

Three victims were injured, including a 16-year-old juvenile male with a gunshot wound to the leg, a 22-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the leg and forearm and a 2-year-old juvenile male with graze wounds to the shoulder and sternum.

The victims were transported to an area hospital via EMS for treatment of injuries and all victims are in stable condition.

Additionally, an adult female and 3-year-old juvenile female were also present with the victims at the time of the shooting incident, but did not suffer injuries.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
