The NOPD Fourth District is seeking assistance in locating Darold Sercovich (DOB: 4/11/1970) after he was developed as the perpetrator responsible for taking dozens of tools from tool boxes attached to pickup trucks.
The above subject, Darold Sercovich, was developed as the suspect after similar crimes were reported in both Jefferson and Plaquemine Parishes. On multiple occasions, an unknown white subject has been seen on surveillance video driving a silver minivan and stopping to break into toolboxes attached to pickup trucks.
A computer search revealed that the 2015 Honda Odyssey silver in color bearing Louisiana license plate ZGC485 was registered to the wanted subject’s girlfriend where they both reside in Belle Chase, LA. The description was consistent with the vehicle observed in each theft in the Fourth District.

Due to the vehicle and residence being registered and located in Plaquemine Parish, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff Office and Plaquemine Parish Sheriff Office executed a search warrant on July 27, 2017 at Sercovich residence and the 2015 silver Honda Odyssey van he used in each incident. During the search, numerous power tools were confiscated.
Once located, Darold Sercovich should be charged with theft valued at $500 but less than $5000.00.
