NOPD Seeks Input for Community Policing Plans

During the month of September, the NOPD will be collecting input from citizens regarding updates to district Community Policing Plans.

Community Policing Plans are district-specific collaborative partnerships with the community to address the unique needs of the community serviced in each of the city’s eight police districts. With the community feedback from this survey and continual engagement with community members, each police district will update its Community Policing Plan and align its operations with community concerns. Community Policing Plans are updated on an ongoing basis based on community input.

Attendees to their district’s monthly NONPACC meeting in September will also have an opportunity to take part in a “problem solving forum,” as well as have access to the survey.

Click here to view existing Community Policing Plans for each district. From the menu, select “Community Policing." Existing community policing plans are updated each month after each district’s scheduled NONPACC meetings.

The survey period will run from September 1 through Sept. 30.
