Felon Arrested after Possessing Stolen AK-47 on Garden Oaks Drive

NOPD Fourth District officers arrested Kendrick Woolridge (DOB: 10-18-1989) on Saturday (Aug.12) after he was found to be in possession of a stolen AK- 47 assault rifle.

The incident happened on August 12, 2017.  At about 1:15 a.m., Fourth District Task Force detectives were on foot patrol at the Garden Oaks Apartments located at 3300 Garden Oaks Drive. While walking, officers observed Woolridge walking down the stairs with an AK-47 assault rifle in plain view.  

Through the course of the investigation, officers discovered the weapon to be stolen from Jefferson Parish.

Woolridge was arrested and booked with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
