The NOPD today announced an arrest in its investigation of a homicide that occurred on April 23, 2026, in the 2700 block of Toulouse Street.

At about 8:42 p.m. on April 23, NOPD First District officers responded to a report of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject found with unknown injuries. Through further investigation, it was determined that a shooting did not take place but that the subject sustained traumatic injury to the body. He was later declared deceased.

On April 28, detectives arrested Angel T. Nobles (black female, DOB: 01-02-2021) in connection with this investigation. Nobles was booked on one count of second-degree murder, one count of simple burglary and one count of simple battery.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
