Person of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a subject for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on April 17, 2022, in the 2600 block of Allen Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed Virgil James (pictured, black male, DOB: 08-19-1972) as a person of interest. James is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this incident. However, detectives feel he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
