NOPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide Investigation

Today (April 29, 2022), the NOPD arrested Jason Paul Porche (pictured, white male, DOB: 09-20-1980) in the investigation of a homicide on April 25, 2022, in the 2100 block of Julia Street.

At about 5:28 p.m., NOPD First District officers responded to a medical call at the location. Upon their arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds to his body. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the investigation was transferred to the NOPD Homicide Unit.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives developed and positively identified Porche as the perpetrator in this incident. An arrest warrant was obtained on one count of second-degree murder.

Porche was located, arrested and booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
