Two Subjects Arrested for Drug Possession in the Eighth District

New Orleans – The NOPD arrested Jose Corzo (DOB: 06/04/99) and Adarryl Bell (DOB: 09/21/95) for drug possession with intent to distribute on April 12, 2020 in the Eighth District.

At around 1:00 a.m., Eighth District officers responded to a call of armed robbery to a home in the 800 block of Gravier Street. Upon arrival, it was determined that the call for service was placed by Corzo, and the alleged crime scene was inside of the home. When officers entered the residence, they smelled a strong and distinctive aroma of marijuana. Officers quickly observed a large bag of marijuana (approx. 2 Ibs.) in a chair, and .38 caliber revolver on the counter in the home. Both Corzo and his roommate, Bell, denied ownership of the drugs and gun.

As a result of the initial discovery, officers prepared and executed a search warrant for the home. In addition to the .38 caliber revolver and marijuana, officers seized $646, 1,236 ecstasy pills, 10 Adderall pills, 41 .225 live rounds, a portable scale and multiple baggies.

Jose Corzo and Adarryl Bell were subsequently arrested.
